KFC YUM! CENTER TO HOST NBA MATCHUP FOR THIRD YEAR IN A ROW
Louisville, KY (May 17, 2016) – The NBA will return to the KFC Yum! Center for the third consecutive year when the Miami HEAT match up with the Minnesota Timberwolves for a preseason game on October 15, 2016.
The Miami HEAT’s roster includes veteran leaders Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh as well as guard Goran Dragic. Minnesota Timberwolves’ bring some of the region’s most popular NBA players—Gorgui Dieng of University of Louisville and Rookie-of-The-Year Karl-Anthony Towns of University of Kentucky—who will lead Minnesota's team on the court at the KFC Yum! Center alongside 2014 number one draft pick, Andrew Wiggins, and 2015 & 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Champion, Zach LaVine.

KFC Yum! Center General Manager Dennis Petrullo said that the support of local fans has played a major role in the NBA’s decision to bring a preseason game back to Louisville. “The people of Louisville and those who visit our community love this venue,” said Petrullo. “It’s a well-known fact that Kentucky is basketball country, and it’s a huge testament that the Miami HEAT wanted to return and play at the KFC Yum! Center for a third year in a row.”
