The KFC Yum! Center’s commitment to strengthen community outreach continues as the arena’s cornerstone partner, Norton Healthcare, is sponsoring 200 local youth from underserved Louisville communities at two complimentary basketball camps this weekend.

The KFC Yum! Center Basketball Camp Presented by Norton Sports Health includes two one-day camps Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27. During the camps, participants will receive instruction from experienced coaching staff including former University of Louisville favorites Kylee Shook and Luke Whitehead along with other local players and coaches. The camp is geared for boys and girls, ages 8-14, and emphasizes individual instruction in all phases of the game. In addition to learning skills on the court, the camp teaches the campers valuable life skills, mindfulness and invites several speakers from the local community who will mentor the attendees throughout the camp. Registration for the camp is full and additional campers cannot be accommodated.

Media are invited to attend the camp on Friday, July 26 to get footage of the participants and interviews with the coaches. Interviews are available at 11:45 pm with Kylee Shook and Luke Whitehead. Media are invited to get footage of participants on the KFC Yum! Center practice court immediately following the interviews.
